I am directed by the Duke of Buckingham to transmit to you, for the information of the Lords of the Treasury, a copy of a despatch from the Governor of Hongkong on the subject of the debt of that Colony to the Imperial Treasury.

In my letter to you of 15 April, I requested instructions respecting the payment of the debts of the Colony.
